Welcome to Houston’s premier training program for runners of all abilities. Are you trying to qualify for Boston, improve your 5K time, complete the Houston Half or full Marathon then we are the training program for you. If you can jog 3 miles around Memorial Park then you can do our program. Kenyan Way is dedicated to supporting you all the way to the finish line.
Where does the name Kenyan Way come from you might ask? Kenyan Way got it’s name from our very first Summer Training program 10 years ago. All workouts took place on the grass of Allen Parkway with special emphasis on running hills. All workouts were designed to run free and not get caught up with mile splits or how far was run, just like the Kenyans do in the Rift Valley. Thus, the name Kenyan Way.
Since then we have expanded our training programs to include a scientific approach to training using various training paces to help you achieve your goals. Our summer training programs still stresses free running and we have a hill workout every Monday all year round.
"Kenyan Way has helped me improve my marathon from 5:26 to 4:07 and I truly enjoyed the race this year! I wanted to let you know that I attribute my success to the Kenyan Way training, the camaraderie, and the support from you all. I look forward to Beat the Heat and of course Marathon training in the fall!"
