We begin our Fall training on Monday August 13th.
Our workouts during the Summer focused on increasing leg speed with short interval training while trying to survive the summer heat and being fresh enough mentally and physically to start the increased grind of Fall Marathon and Half Marathon training.
Our Fall training focus will move back to longer type workouts such as tempo runs, marathon pace runs and mile repeats as the weather cools.
In the current heat, tempo runs should be paced more like marathon pace runs.
Long runs will start to progress as we get closer to your Fall Marathon or Half Marathon.
We will have many runners doing Chicago, New York, CIM and Houston.
Remember, the specific Marathon segment of your online schedule begins 16 weeks before your marathon date.
Before that time the schedule will focus on building weekly mileage, improving leg speed and building your long run up to 2hrs of slow easy running
Our Fall Programs will begin on Saturday August 18th (Marathon/Half Marathon Program) and Monday August 13th (Fall Speed Program) with online schedules being available July 24th.
Fall programs run through until the January 2019 Houston Marathon.

We have two program choices:
Fall Marathon & Half Marathon Program (Saturdays Only)
$135 (5 months) STARTS AUGUST 18TH with earlier start available now
Fall Premium Package - Monday Hills, Wednesday Speed Saturday Long Run STARTS MONDAY AUG 13TH
$285 (5 months)
If you are already in the current Marathon program and would like to add the Monday/Wednesday workouts, email Katrina at email@example.com and she will give you pricing and make the changes.
All programs include:
Customized online training schedule for the race of your choice.
Just enter your current fitness level, race goal and race date.
Iced Gatorade and Water at every workout
Access to Coach Sean Wade at workouts and anytime by email.
Weekly emails giving info on workouts and upcoming long run.
Monday mornings we will meet on at the Jackson Hill base for Hill Workouts with warm up drills starting at 5:10am and the group workout starting at 5:20am.
You will be finished before 6am.
If the workout location is going to be more than 1.5miles from base, we will email the group in advance to give runners the opportunity to go directly to that location.
Wednesday Morning Speed we will meet at west corner of Memorial Park. Workout can take place between 5am and 7am.
Saturday Morning Long Runs we will leave as a group from Jackson Hill Base at 6am but many runners meet as early as 5am to get finished earlier
Base is set up by 5am with water stations being ready by 5.15am (in order).
The Long Run Route is emailed to registered runners every Thursday afternoon and there are also printed directions sheets available at the check in table before the run.
We will be providing supported long runs on Saturday Aug 4th and August 11th for those runners who signed up for the Marathon Program during Summer (these runners already have their blue program bands).
Everyone else is welcome to join us at the $5 drop in rate or, as in the past, because it is so helpful to have everyone signed up as early as possible, those runners who are registered for a Fall Program before either of the Saturday runs will be welcome to join us on those days at no charge (of course this will only apply to people who have already signed up online - not those who "intend" to sign up after the run – you must be signed up when you come out to run).
